Welcome to Quynh Le's research group website. Our research aims to seek a better understanding of the weak and strong light-matter interactions between plasmonic and photonic structures and quantum emitters at the nanoscale. We also keep an eye on using the understanding in potential practical applications focusing on optoelectronics and biosensing.
Our current research topics:
- Amplified fluorescence of quantum emitters with both dielectric and plasmonic metasurface
- Strong coupling between surface lattice resonances and quantum emitters
- Semiconductor and perovskite-based light-emitting diodes
- Metasurface-integrated light-emitting diodes for enhanced performance
- Inverse design for photonic resonances
- Non-Hermitian physics in photonic crystals
To fortify our research pursuits, our laboratory is currently equipped with:
- Optical bench with angle-resolved reflectivity, PL and EL, and Fourier microscopy
- LED characterization setup (EQE, Luminance, J-V, spectra)
- Fume hoods with spin coater, hotplates, vortex mixer, sonication, etc.
